DCRS Open Day

DCRS held our Open Day at Abbey Hall on 24th June as part of Refugee Week, a national festival celebrating the creativity and resilience of refugees in the UK. We feasted on dishes from around the world, demonstrated our activities including art, cycling & photography; and discussed where DCRS has been, the severe implications of the Nationality & Borders Act, and the future we’re working towards.

As one speaker said: It’s basic human instinct to pick someone up if they fall in front of you. It’s an immovable force. Unwavering. Uncompromising. So, I am optimistic. That instinct will motivate you to spread the word & remind those who have forgotten. So, let’s organise, mobilise and work together to help people back up.
