The lack of legal representation across all areas of law, and in particular asylum and immigration, has been prevalent in the Southwest for the last 20+ years. This region has been named a ‘legal advice desert’ with those in need of advice, advocacy and representation having nowhere to turn if they cannot afford to pay.
Steered by our vision statement we decided that it was our duty to find a solution. We therefore developed a legal aid department with the capability to support sanctuary seeking people and vulnerable migrants to have access to justice, for free.
Please Note:
- We only work with clients who cannot afford to pay for representation.
- We use the Legal Aid Agency means test to identify who is eligible, which can be found HERE
- We prioritise the most vulnerable and those who require additional support.
- We only represent clients who live in Devon and Cornwall.
We only take the following types of cases:
- Initial Asylum Claims for Adults and Children
- Fresh Claims
- Migrant Victims of Domestic Abuse for Devon County Council
Below is a referral submission point for asylum and immigration representation only.
We can only assist if the client is living in the Devon and Cornwall region.
Please complete the form with as much information as possible. The more information we have, the quicker we can make a decision about whether we can assist.
