Countryside Skills Project with Plymouth Natural Grid

Plymouth City Council’s Plymouth Natural Grid project is hosting a course for DCRS service users. The Countryside Skills Project includes conservation management techniques such as coppicing, woodwork craft & cookout with organic food at Poole Farm. It is an excellent match, as a lot of our service users have existing agricultural skills & miss getting involved in these activities.

On the 1st of September, this began with a group of ten service users learning about coppicing at Efford Marsh. The group had a fantastic day, with the two little girls making clay boggets as pictured. Everyone is looking forward to woodwork next!
